Chucky Shooting Delayed Due to Ongoing Pandemic. Pushed Back to 2021!

Well... This is really sad. Either way, the wait will be worth it!

With reports pouring in of various actors testing positive for COVID-19 (Robert Pattinson, Dwayne Johnson) it would appear USA/Syfy Channels continuation of the franchise has been put on hold.

Filming was originally supposed to begin in the fall, which obviously didn't play out during due to the ongoing Pandemic. The good news is that the air date might remained unchanged. “Producers hope that it will still be delivered in time,”

Headed by Don Mancini and Nick Antosca, Chucky looks to be a continuation of the existing franchise with the original talent still involved. It's said to continue the original Horror vibe of the first few movies, Chucky promises to be a thrill ride for any die hard fans of the franchise.

With this TV show, our mission has been to preserve the straightforward scariness of the original filmor the first couple of films,” Mancini explained to Syfy Wire back in May. “But at the same time, continue on with this ever-expanding tapestry of consistent story that we’ve spun over the course of seven movies and 30-some years. I think fans are really gonna love to see the new characters that we introduce into this realm and just to see how they came off of our classic characters. Not just Chucky, but some of the others that you may be hoping to see. There’s a good chance they may turn up.”
