'Cloverfield' Sequel From J.J Abrams Bad Robot In The Works
They didn't give up...
The new Cloverfield sequel has been in the works for quite some time on and off and it's about time we got some news on it. Joe Barton, the writer of the 2008 movie, is working on the sequel script right now.
The original was directed by Matt Reeves and produced by J.J Abrams, and was a famously shot found footage film that followed a group of survivors in New York as the city was being attacked. Despite the mass chaos and destruction in the film, the movie was shot under the radar and was very successful due to a viral teaser trailer.
Two movies that spawned from Cloverfield are Cloverfield: Paradox and 10 Cloverfield Lane, both movies J.J Abrams worked on. Unfortunately, Matt Reeves won't be part of this project either for he's got his hands full with Batman.
