'Day of the Dead' Television Series Set for Premiere on SYFY Channel This Fall!

Where's Our George A. Romero Fans At?

SYFY channel greenlit a 10-episode series to give us a new take on the George A. Romero classic, Day of the Dead! Director Steven Kostanski (The Void, Leprechaun Returns, Psycho Goreman) is director 4 of the episodes. Variety reported this week that SYFY is planning to premiere the series this Fall!


“'Day of the Dead' is the story of six strangers trying to survive the first 24 hours of an undead invasion. This ode to George A. Romero’s famous flesh-eaters reminds us that sometimes all it takes to bring people together is a horde of hungry zombies trying to rip them apart."


Produced by Cartel and HiTide Studios with Stan Spry, Jeff Holland, Drew Brown, James Dudelson, Robert Dudelson, Jordan Kizwani and Matt Drake serving as executive producers.


Jed Elinoff and Scott Thomas will serve as writers, co-showrunners and executive producers, and Steven Kostanski will also serve as executive producer.
