Game Of Thrones Star Peter Dinklage Will Feature In Toxic Avenger Reboot
The reboot of the 80s classic has fans shook as nostalgic heartstrings are pulled
I think I was 18 when I witnessed this tormented janitor turned killer monster revenge story. The film didn't get the best response redeeming a 70% score on Rotten Tomatoes and splitting viewers at 50%. Battling detractors on one hand, and superfans on the other, Lloyd Kaufman is willing to bring back this absolute gem of an 80s comedy/cult classic.
Peter Dinklage, 51, will take lead in the reboot I'm so excited to see more of him after his performance in Game Of Thrones. After his role on the hit HBO series, we saw him appear in Avengers: Infinity War, I Think We're Alone Now, and Three Christs. After his GoT performance got him the Emmy for outstanding supporting actor, Dinklage's efforts have been nothing short of what he's widely known for.
When a struggling everyman is pushed into a vat of toxic waste, he is transformed into a mutant freak who must go from shunned outcast to underdog hero as he races to save his son, his friends, and his community from the forces of corruption and greed.
The movie was amongst many B-movie, super low budget movies from a studio named Troma, co-founded by Lloyd Kaufman and Michael Herz. The success of this movie might have come as a surprise to many what followed was a few sequels, an animated series, a musical, and a decent following.
Macon Blair directs this upcoming reboot but we're not sure production details in terms of when filming will begin.
