Head Of The Walking Dead Says Rick Grimes Movies Will Be "Amazing"

I'm waiting very patiently for these movies. VERY, very, patiently...

Rick Grimes got carried away in a helicopter over a year ago, with promises of films to come. But of course, with COVID, these films are being delayed. But hopefully they will come out sooner or later!

Walking Dead: World Beyond just finished it's first season. A main focus of that show is the C.R.M, the community that owns the helicopters that took Rick. And the helicopters have been seen in Fear The Walking Dead, and obviously in the main series as well. It seems like everything is going to connect sooner or later...

Not much is known about the Rick Grimes film, but Scott Gimple, the creative head of the entire Walking Dead franchise has giving us some details. And it's really exciting.

In a recent interview, he said:

"We are continuing to work on the movie. It is happening. We're taking this time... and we're hunkering down and Mr. [Andrew] Lincoln, Mr. [Robert] Kirkman, Mr. [David] Alpert, AMC, Universal, we're all charging forward on it. It's just taking a bit more than TV. And then [we're] working on the new shows. So we have stuff into the future of The Walking Dead, and a lot of very different stuff. I'm really excited to hopefully have some more stuff to talk about with you coming into the New Year."

When it comes to the delays, and fans eagerly waiting, he added:

"I don't mind telling people that we're working on it. I know people are really itchy. These are no joke. We make an episode of TV in eight days. Movies are a different thing. It's going to be amazing. For all the pressure that we have on us for taking this long, that only makes it [so] that we have to make it amazing. So we will."

Will you be watching the Rick Grimes movies when they're released??
