New 7 Minute Clip | Syfy's "Resident Alien" | Drama Thriller Based Off Of The Comics
SPECIES meets American Werewolf in this new TV series about an alien invasion
Recently, we were surprised with a 7-minute sneak peek of an adaptation of Peter Hogan and Steve Parkhouse's Dark Horse comic. Alan Tudyk (Deadpool 2, Tucker & Dale vs. Evil) plays the lead roll, as he is first in the series to be shown falling victim to an Alien attack. We will also be seeing Sara Tomko (Extracted), Corey Reynolds (Straight Outta Compton), and Levi Fiehler, who stars in an adaptation of another comic book series I have personally read known as Puppet Master: Axis of Evil.
Just incase you didn't know:
A Resident Alien is more formally known as someone who is living legally in the United States as an immigrant. (But this series is about actual aliens!)
From TV Series Finale:
Based on the Dark Horse comic, SYFY’s RESIDENT ALIEN follows Harry, an alien played by Tudyk that crash lands on Earth and passes himself off as a small-town human doctor. Arriving with a secret mission to kill all humans, Harry starts off living a simple life… but things get a bit rocky when he’s roped into solving a local murder and realizes he needs to assimilate into his new world. As he does so, he begins to wrestle with the moral dilemma of his mission and asking the big life questions like: “Are human beings worth saving?” and “Why do they fold their pizza before eating it?”
The first seven minutes can be viewed here with the clip below...

The sneak peek will show flashbacks of how the event happened before zooming to the present where most of the show will take place.
This one will be incredibly goofy to watch as Tudyk shifts into the body of a new member amongst today's human society, trying to learn and become accustomed to our wildly vast and everchanging culture. Tudyk will have to uncoordinatedly embody the life of the awkward extraterrestrial, exhibiting almost sociopathic behavior, as this alien won't be a very compassionate or an overall emotional being at first.
The show will mix horror drama elements with comedy elements as the alien will become invested in some funny situations such as going to alien conventions or attending a funeral and lifting the casket to see the body.
For a fully fleshed-out experience from the sneak peek the actors of the show have released a 30 minute panel talking about working on the show throughout the crisis. (watch below)
"We were very close when we stopped. We only had, one episode? One and a half?"
- Actor, Alan Tudyk

Resident Alien is determined to premiere January 2021.
