Trailer | Nicolas Cage Battles Evil Animatronics in Willy's Wonderland - Here's What We Know
This seems directly influenced by Five Nights At Freddys
Screen Media really knows how to hype me up. Here I thought the FNAF film would be the only animatronic movie we'd be getting. Boy was I in for a surprise!
My god, I haven't really been this excited for a movie in a while! Also, when will Nicolas Cage stop doing these absolutely batshit crazy movies? He's on a roll this year. Jiu-Jitsu, Color Out of Space, and now Willy's Wonderland. Is there more?
Below, I include a teaser trailer that if you haven't seen it before I suggest watching because it will definitely tease you. Check out a slideshow of some movie posters detailing the animatronics, too!
So, my question is, "Wow, how hasn't someone done this before." Animatronics are terrifying. Scarier than clowns, in my opinion. Has it not been done because it's demanding on practical effects? I know for a fake that they had someone holding up the animatronics and moving them before they're digitally removed.
Anyway, I am unbelievably excited about this movie. It's Nicolas Cage facing off against 8 different animatronic figures. Before I go on, check out the teaser.
How did Cage get caught up in this mess? He's a drifter who gets tricked into staying a night at Willy's Wonderland, cleaning, and other janitorial duties. What begins as monotony soon turns into the fight of his life against the animatronics.
These will be one of the more wildly entertaining horror movie experiences I'd have in recent years. The trailer says "fun begins this winter" which in a way is misleading for Winter stretches between this year and the next. We're sure that this movie will come out beginning of next year, around the first coming months I presume. Oh, what a dream it would be if it was to come out this year.
Director Kevin Lewis, speaking with Entertainment Weekly told us shooting in Atlanta started beginning of this year and finished before the pandemic hit.
These are some of the most badass movie posters I have seen in a long time. I might go as far as saying I'd hang them up on my wall.
