'Phasmaphobia' - The Horror Game That's Sweeping The Nation
The game that allows you and your friends to become ghost hunters
The paranormal game that has swept the internet this past week is called Phasmaphobia, and it puts you and your friends in the role of ghost hunters. Equipped with the same gadgets most hunters will use on various known shows, you will complete multiple objectives to identify different types of ghosts. Often times I fail to let overhyped things phase me, for they come and go and never live up to the hype, but Phasmaphobia is not the case.
For about an hour, a buddy and I had dove straight into the world of paranormal trappers, and if I had been more prepared my friend wouldn't of found my dead body in the kitchen.
The 4 player co-op ghost hunting game with VR support developed and published by Kinetic Games can be found in the Steam store and the reviews are overwhelmingly positive. (The above picture is of a twitch streamer, scared sh!tless)
The game is extremely unnerving and as tough as I think I am, I was most definitely a little scaredy cat playing this one. Often times when multiple partners are added to a horror experience it dulls the horror element, in Phasmaphobia, your friends are there to watch you get scared. Some ghosts only respond to one person, others will respond to you and your friends surrounding a Spirit Box or Ouija Board.
Developed by only a single person under Kinetic, we are hoping a team is hired to help out this man, before everything that needs to be done and seen in the game is done and seen, and the game disappears from everyone's radar.
Right now, you can go to YouTube and see just about every content creator streaming this game.
So, if you have a VR headset or just a keyboard and mouse, grab some friends and hunt some ghosts!
