Phasmophobia Updates And Plans For The Future
Has anyone checked out this spooky ghost hunting game yet?
Kinetic Games has had a great year with their hit horror game Phasmophobia. The game has had people who don't even typically pick up horror games, diving into ghost hunts due to all of the hype.
The problem with indie games taking off like this is that they are not prepared for the aftermath. There has had to be a lot of planning as far as a roadmap of how the game is going to release improvements and additions to the game, as players are wanting more.
The overnight success of the game has now forced the game to stay in early access for the time being. New maps, ghost types, and equipment are what will be expected to enter the game. As for maps, we'll be expecting a prison, an apartment building, and a mansion.
As of November, players will not be receiving said maps but there will be some cool changes to the gameplay.
When a player dies in-game, they get the opportunity to free roam as a ghost. What type of ghost? I'm not sure, maybe a wraith or something. Anyway, there's not much you can do as a ghost besides get up in the ghost's face while he's hunting your friends. Now, you're able to mess around with equipment and interactive elements in the maps. You can turn off lights or pick up objects and throw them on the ground and scare your friends.
Remember all the times you said to your friend that when you die you'll haunt them forever? This is your chance!
Grab Phasmaphobia if you have a PC in the Steam store.
