This should make the emotion in their scenes come across as strong as possible!
Fans of The Walking Dead have been wanting an origin story for Negan ever since he entered the show. When he was first introduced in the season 6 finale, it was one of the most memorable, horrifying, iconic scenes in television history.
Now, 4 seasons later, not much is known about the character. And one of the biggest question marks is his past.
We do know that he had a wife named Lucille that died of cancer right before the apocalypse started, and that he named his iconic barbed wire bat after her.
Well it seems like we will finally learn about his bittersweet past. It has been reported that Hilarie Burton, real life wife of Jeffrey Dean Morgan (Negan), will portray Lucille in one of the bonus episodes of season 10 to air in early 2021.
Burton is known for her work in One Tree Hill, and MTV's Total Request Live.
“Been pretty hard to keep this a secret. But I love working with @JDMorgan. I love watching him become #Negan and take on that swagger.
And I love the @TheWalkingDead family. They’ve been a part of our family for ages and I’m so grateful for their kindness."
She said on twitter about joining The Walking Dead.
Season 11 will be the final season of The Walking Dead. So I'm going to assume that these "bonus" episodes of season 10 will serve as the last strong character driven episodes we get before all hell breaks loose.
