These Blumhouse Films Coming Out in October Look AMAZING! Trailer Out Now!

Blumhouse continues proving why they are the absolute kings.

October is shaping up to be an amazing month for horror. For those of you who weren't aware, Amazon Studios partnered up with Blumhouse to create a series of eight movies, four of which will be released in October.


Welcome to the Blumhouse will be releasing a series of double-features the first of which will release on October 6. The written and directed by Veena Sud (The Killing, 7 Seconds) and Black Box directed by new writer/director Emmanuel Osei-Kuffour Jr. (Borning With it).


Following that will be two more releases on October 13, Evil Eye & Nonturne. Evil Eye comes from two young directors, Elan Dassani and Rajeev Dassani (A Day's Work, Jinn). Nocturne is written and directed by Zu Quirke making her feature film debut.

THE LIE (October 6)

“When their teenaged daughter confesses to impulsively killing her best friend, two desperate parents attempt to cover up the horrific crime, leading them into a complicated web of lies and deception.”


The Lie stars Mireille Enos (The Killing), Peter Sarsgaard (An Education) and Joey King (The Conjuring).


It's produced by Alix Madigan-Yorkin, Christopher Tricarico, and Jason Blum.  Executive produced by Howard Green, Kim Hodgert, Jeanette Volturno, Couper Samuelson and Aaron Barnett.


BLACK BOX (October 6)

“After losing his wife and his memory in a car accident, a single father undergoes an agonizing experimental treatment that causes him to question who he really is.”


Black Box stars Mamoudou Athie (Jurassic World 3, The Circle), Phylicia Rashad (Creed), Amanda Christine (Colony), Tosin Morohunfola (The Chi, The 24th), Charmaine Bingwa (Trees of Peace, Little Sista), and Troy James (The Flash, Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark).

EVIL EYE (October 13)

Based off the award-winning, best-selling Audible Original production from writer Madhuri Shekar, Evil Eye stars Sarita Choudhury (Mississippi MasalaLady in the Water), Sunita Mani (GLOW), Omar Maskati (Unbelievable), and Bernard White (Silicon Valley).

NOCTURNE (October 13)

Starring Sydney Sweeney (EuphoriaThe Handmaid’s Tale, Player’s Table), Madison Iseman (Jumanji: The Next LevelAnnabelle Comes Home), Jacques Colimon (The Society) and Ivan Shaw (InsecureCasual).

The remaining 4 movies will launch sometime in 2021
