I genuinely love the first Silent Hill film. But fans desperately need a movie even more faithful to the games!
Silent Hill is my favorite series of horror games when it comes to pure terror. And possibly (probably) my favorite horror franchise in general.
Being lost in an empty town, surrounded by fog and monsters that represent your own internal demons? Then the town transforms into something that closely represents your own personal hell? Then throw is some of the most terrifying and iconic monster designs of all time. Horror perfection.
I think I speak for a lot of Silent Hill fans when I say that the first Silent Hill film isn't actually that bad. I actually think it is the best video game adaptation of all time so far. That may be a low bar, but the movie jumps far over it.
Luckily for Silent Hill fans who have been waiting patiently for another Silent Hill film, it turns out a fan film is in the works. And it actually sounds like it'll be expectational.
Silent Hill: Echoes, the fan film, was supposed to be released later this month. But apparently, fan feedback was so good, they have decided to delay release.
Once they knew how big their potential audience will be, they decided to reshoot several scenes to make sure the film will be as good as it possibly can be.
"We listen to the feedback. Once we saw how big the audience was, based on their response we knew we could do better and they deserve better. We agree with their input so we went back for reshoots."
Said co-producer Ken Cosentino.
