Ready for more zombie mayhem?
Zack Snyder is finally returning to the world of the dead.
His directional debut was the much loved Dawn Of The Dead remake. And his upcoming spiritual sequel, Army Of The Dead, will hit Netflix sometime in 2021.
And now, Netflix has just announced that it won't end there. Army Of The Dead will now be the start of a franchise! Snyder's co-writer is currently writing two follow up scripts. One will be a prequel feature, and the second will be an anime series.
The feature film will be a prequel to Army Of The Dead, and the anime (titled Army Of The Dead: Lost Vegas) will serve as an "origin story of Dave Bautista's character."
For those that don't know, Bautista will be the lead in Army Of The Dead.
Zack Snyder said this about the creation of this franchise:
"I’m incredibly excited for the opportunity to partner with Netflix again as we expand the Army of the Dead universe with both an international prequel, as well as exploring the visually dynamic world of animation. It’s been a great collaboration and we are thrilled that Netflix sees this as big of an IP as we do."
